Peter Webb Awarded MBE In Queen’s Birthday Honours List
Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd Managing Director Peter Webb has been awarded an MBE for services to Business in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Peter, with his wife Miriam started their business Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd, some 32 years ago with just one employee. Today ETI employs 165 people here in the UK, manufacturing electronic thermometers and temperature probes, that are exported world-wide.
Peter admits he was “very surprised, yet delighted” to receive the award for services to Business. Based in Worthing, Peter runs his business with his wife Miriam, and his son Jason.
He said: “It was a big surprise when I heard about the award and I am delighted and my family are also very proud. I have known for a few weeks now and it has been difficult keeping it quiet.”
“I started my business as a small enterprise, however ETI has grown phenomenally and the industry has changed a lot over recent years, with advent of new microprocessor technology, however we have endeavored to embrace this technology for the benefit of our customers.”
“Although I have been honoured with this prestigious award, ETI has achieved the worldwide standing and success that we have today with the support and commitment from everyone working alongside me. I would like to thank them all, especially those that have been a part of ETI for so many years, helping ETI become what it is today.”
