It is with great pleasure that Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd is able to announce that Her Majesty the Queen has graciously approved a Queen’s Award for Enterprise within the category of International Trade to the company, for manufacturing and supplying electronic thermometers and probes to worldwide markets.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise have been operating in various forms since 1966, developing over the years into the current format comprising of three annual awards for companies and one for individuals. Each year Her Majesty The Queen makes the Awards on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an Advisory Committee that includes representatives of Government, industry and commerce, and the trade unions.
The Queen’s Awards for enterprise are awarded to businesses for outstanding achievement in International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development. Since applications are judged solely on merit, there is a very wide variety of enterprises applying and winning each year, with companies varying in size from large international companies to small businesses comprising just a couple of employees. An Award is valid for five years. Successful organisations may fly the Queen’s Award flag at their principal premises and are entitled to use the Emblem on their stationery, advertising and goods.
This award represents a significant achievement for Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd and the company as a whole are delighted to receive such a prestigious accolade. Receiving a Queen’s Award for Enterprise is a great honour for the company and we are immensely proud. Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd will be officially presented with its Queen’s Award for Enterprise at a ceremony due to take place at the company’s Worthing headquarters during the summer by the Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex.
